The patterns in these mystic textiles are deeply symbolic. The divine Mayan twins hold hands on a canvas from the region of Nahualá, where they are represented by the double-headed eagle symbolizing the existence of good with evil. A textile from Chichicastenango area contains patterns depicting the sun, the heart of the sky.

The colorful zig zag figures within these pieces represent the feathered serpent, a symbol of life and fertility. One design from Chajul region, which is characterized by its zoomorphic symbolism, shows a jaguar defending itself from a lion. And finally, we have the circular embroideries from Joyabaj, delicately adorned with flowers. Every vibrant thread adds a new line to the ancient story unfolding on each bag.

Technicolor is a vibrant celebration of life and heritage. The collection’s vivid colors and rich symbolism speak to the heart and soul of Guatemala.
