I think its always better to be the elegant underdressed girl in the room rather than the overdressed one who’s trying really hard.

What does a normal day in your life look like?

The best part of my job is that each day is different I can be in the market an entire morning looking at collections to feature on my pages or reviewing them; or I can be on set shooting an editorial.

What was the most important thing you did in your career that brought you to where you are now?

The most important step I took in my career was interning – I always knew i wanted to work in editorial; so I made sure I interned in the best magazines from Vogue, W to In Style. I gained exposure, i built my network and it gave me the experience necessary to get my first full time job.

Do you have a style icon yourself?

I always gravitated towards effortless style and I love menswear so women such as Chanel herself and Katherine Hepburn are good examples. I think its always better to be the elegant underdressed girl in the room rather than the overdressed one who s trying really hard.

What’s the strongest piece in your wardrobe?

My go to piece is a white, crisp shirt – slightly oversized. Its instantly elegant and you can accessorize accordingly

What would a woman appreciate from Latin Style?

Latin style celebrates femininity- its important to note that latin women always look feminine even if they are wearing a suit, or jeans and a t-shirt. The devil is in the subtle details- we tend to prefer pants that accentuate our waists, always use makeup, jewelry and heels. Latin Style exemplifies the balance between casual and dressy, boyish and girlish.
